“Due to overwhelming demand from the fans to see more of ‘Kaisagi’, the higher-ups have decided to give them exactly what they want.”
Kaiser blinks, utterly stunned. He can hardly believe what he is hearing.
“Consider it to be an experiment of sorts. The fans want to see you as a ‘duo’, and not just on the field, but off it as well.”Kaiser’s face twists in disgust. No way. ’There is no way... This is beyond ridiculous.’
After a crushing defeat to Isagi in the previous match, Kaiser’s world spirals further when the old geezers, catering to fan demand, force him into an ‘experiment’ with his rival. His nemesis to be exact. Training, meals, and every moment in between—together. He hates it. Or at least, he should. But as the days pass, frustration and tension blur into something far more dangerous.

“Right. So you’re soaked, grocery-less, and somehow this is my fault?” His gaze returned to Kaiser’s hands, empty. “Where are the groceries, Kaiser?”
“About that…” The zipper fell down in one smooth motion, and out came a tiny orange ball of fur, blinking up with imploring eyes.
“You—you absolute moron,” Isagi half-yelled, voice muffled behind his palm. No. Absolutely not. “You brought a cat into our apartment.”
“Correction: I rescued him. From the cruel, cruel, wet streets.”
Isagi’s eyes narrowed over his hand. “I’m allergic. Allergic.”
In which Kaiser shows up with a stray kitten, Isagi’s ‘allergies’ threaten disaster, and what should’ve been a simple rescue spirals into anything but that.

Summary
Isagi never expected his first day of university in Germany to start with a kiss from a complete stranger.
He thought learning German and surviving university life while juggling a job would be hard enough. Then Michael Kaiser showed up, dragging him into a messy situation with his ex, campus rumors, and a fake relationship Isagi never signed up for.
“You’re the perfect distraction, Yoichi.”
He has to keep up with a total player who treats life like a game, risking not getting tangled in those lying charms no matter how real they look. Along the way, he’s bound to discover things about Kaiser that most people are never allowed to see. But will any of it be true?

Kaiser blinks once, slow and lazy, before his lips twitch into something that isn’t quite a smirk, but isn’t far from it either. “What, are you trying to tuck me in now, Yoichi?”
Isagi rolls his eyes, shifting just enough to nudge Kaiser’s shoulder with his own. "Yeah, sure, that’s exactly what I’m doing. You want me to sing you a lullaby too, bastard?”
Just a fluffy kaisagi scene I had imagined and wanted to write for weeks !

He thought he was finally starting to get the picture. He was finally starting to see underneath that damn mask, behind those irritating words and actions, the real him. But he was wrong.
So incredibly, painfully fucking wrong.
Isagi isn't only skilled at reading the field—he's always had a knack for reading people too. At least, that's what he thought until he met the most insufferable soccer genius to have ever existed: Michael Kaiser. Kaiser, who's been harassing Isagi and getting in his way since day one; Kaiser, who beyond all doubt could've been nothing more than a simple, arrogant, self-centered asshole; Kaiser, who despite all of that, he can't stop thinking about for some goddamn reason—he can't stop his feelings of hatred, entangling with both awe and curiosity, and he can't stop the chain of events that he set off spiraling out of control, all leading up to a reality darker than anything he ever encountered before: the bitter truth behind the naked emperor.
