   Jack Townsend is a young thief who’s always lived in misery. He gets caught red handed by the guards of the Duke, but instead of throwing him in jail, they offer him to become a soldier, a mercenary like them.

   The future seems bright for him, but he’s still unaware of the shadows that lay underneath his new life. Will the mercenaries see him as a peer? Is he really jumping on the top of the food chain?
