Happy 'Taylor owns all of her old album masters' week for all who celebrate.
High School AU: Mike and Harvey live next door. Harvey is a jock, Mike is a nerd, and Mike is hardcore pining after his best friend, who's too infatuated with his toxic relationship with Scottie to notice him.
[Scottie would never know Harvey’s story like Mike did. She didn’t know that Harvey blasted music to drown out his parents’ fighting. She didn’t know that Harvey would climb through Mike’s window when his dad was out of town and his mom had her “friend” Bobby over.
She didn’t see the look on his face when Harvey would put his head in his hands, trying to decide whether or not to tell his dad that his mom was a cheating homewrecker.
Mike would sit with Harvey while he silently stewed, occasionally lacing their fingers together and soothing him with his thumb. Harvey never stopped him. He would lean into the touch and thank Mike with his eyes.
They never talked about it.]

Harvey starts to wonder if Mike has decided he never wants to talk about it, because it’s been longer than it would usually take for Mike to respond to one of his texts unless he was sleeping, when Mike comes running down the corridor to his office.
Mike skids to a stop and nearly topples over himself.
Sometimes, most times in fact, Harvey wonders how he’s managed to let this complete dumbass become such an important part of his life.

Summary
Harvey knows Daniel Hardman in and out. He knows the man uses things for his own gain, is a serial liar, and doesn't care about anybody besides himself. Still, he never though Daniel would be holding Harvey's personal associate at gunpoint.
Mike may not know Daniel Hardman, but he gets the same uneasy feeling standing around him that he can see clearly parroted on the faces of Harvey and Jessica. His colleagues may not, but Mike prides himself on having some emotion in his cases. That doesn't change when it's his turn to face Daniel Hardman.

With people cramped on either side of him, Su-bong can only look over his shoulder, but even just that is good enough, as when his eyes quickly scan the sea of green behind him, it isn’t long at all before they locate exactly what he's looking for.
Dark hair streaked with green, grown down to shoulders and styled in a way that made it seem effortlessly messy. Metal piercing an eyebrow, both ears, and a bottom lip, flashes of cold silver against warm, fair skin. A gaze darkened by black makeup, shadows around the corners of eyes that Su-bong had many a time found himself getting entranced by. A beautiful face pulled into a cold, mean expression as he stares up at the pink guards, desperate to know what happened to his designer shoes.
Su-bong had been starting to feel like he was suffocating in that room, with so many other people around him and under the fear of having been taken to an unknown location, but now, just for a moment, he feels like he can breathe again.
