What is a small Gommage, if not a self-inflicted denial of the soul’s wants? What is a dream, if not the sliver of gray between black and white? What is her facsimile of a life, if not to bear the blame of the Dessendres’ grief?
OR:
Saving Maelle’s brother is not without its consequences, and one cannot expect to banish gods through blades or words alone.
