Summary
The boy had dark gray circles under his eyes that he’d clearly covered up with makeup, but his unusually pale skin made the contrast too steep for foundation. He was also way too thin. It was all coming together to create a more unfortunate image in which Tim was silently struggling, but saving face for the sake of his image. It was admirable, if not incredibly unhealthy.
Dick says he just needs time. Jason says he’s rich, so he can’t be that sad.
Bruce says he’s depressed.OR
Tim thinks he’s being investigated by the Bats because he's a genius who secretly solves their cold cases, but an idiot when it comes to anything social. Bruce actually just wants to make sure Tim’s okay because he's a teenaged CEO with dead parents, and Bruce sees too much of himself in him.

“It became obvious to Tim that Batman needed a Robin. He was this close to tracking down Dick just to get him to take back the role. It would have exposed that Tim knew the truth, but it would have been worth it. And if Dick wouldn't do it, if it really came down to it? He’d throw on tights if he had to, drag Batman back to the light himself.
“Batman needed a Robin. And maybe that's why Tim was so relieved when Spoiler, a young vigilante clad in purple, showed up out of the blue and refused to leave Batman alone.”

Summary
Irene was there as a favour, just checking on the house, checking on Eugene, as per Jerome - no, Vincent's - request. She hadn't wanted to be there, she never did. She wanted to run away from everything, at least for awhile. But she went, because Vincent asked her to, and she looked, and she investigated, and she stopped the worst from happening.
Neither of them wanted to be there, both of them wanted to leave, in different ways. Instead, they stayed, they waited, and they nursed the fragile bond Vincent had planted the initial seed for, until they had their own. And they find that the waiting isn't so bad when shared.
