    It started with a stupid fight on December 18th. Tim said he should spend Christmas with the Kents-"at least they're nicer!" -and Bruce, for once, didn't argue.

    By Christmas Eve, Bruce has sent his boys to Smallville, given Alfred the holidays off, and stands alone in front of his parents' graves, convinced he's given them everything they need: a way to be happy without him.

    Then a man throws a brick at him, and Bruce wakes up fourteen years old in a manor that feels too big, wearing clothes that don't fit, staring at a family portrait that doesn't make sense.

     

    Or: A heartfelt story about learning to be loved, the groceries we buy for the people we care about, and what happens when a father finally realises his children aren't going anywhere.

    Bruce gets de-aged into a 16-year old after being hit by an alien weapon from an attempted invasion.

    The 16 year old who trained under the LOA.
    The 16 year old who ran away from Alfred.
    The 16 year old who was manipulated into something else.
    The 16 year old who was made a weapon.
    The 16 year old who never had a childhood.

    Bruce tries to forget the days of when he trained under Ra's, but small habits and reflexes he thought were long gone start to resurface, along with memories being freshly remembered as if it was yesterday. It haunts him slowly, eating him out from the inside before taking action after playing with its food.

    EDIT: currently being rewritten. Read chapter notes to see what is and what isn’t. Sorry for the confusion, i thought it was clear when it was just the notes.

    After an encounter with an unknown criminal, the Batman came to a frightening realization - is his existence really necessary? Bruce starts to self-destruct and Batman stopped patrolling at night. His mind became an echo of the grief he had to bury in order to become Batman.

    Meanwhile, his family tries to deal with the consequences.
