Summary
Absolutely distraught that there are no fics (to my knowledge) with these guys in an Orphydice font. Updates may be slow but they WILL happen. Hopefully. No prior knowledge of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice needed but it wouldn't hurt.

Charles Rowland did not know this. Not entirely. He knew only that something in him pulled toward that road in the way the tides answer to the moon. The melody in his chest, one of many half-born things growing within him, had begun to change, curling downward now, notes slipping into minor keys, strange harmonies mirroring the distant thunder of trains below the city. Sometimes he would stop mid-step in the middle of a pavement, head tilted, as if listening to something no one else could hear.
“Charles,” Edwin would call patiently from two paces behind him. “If you have quite finished communing with the municipal infrastructure, we really ought to continue moving.”
Charles would blink, the world returning all at once, a bus rattling past, a woman shouting into her phone, the low, animal rumble of the Underground beneath their feet losing its rhythm, and then it would fade again. But never completely.
