Summary
Glorfindel, Lord of the House of the Golden Flower, struggles to reconcile his love for his friends with his horror over their actions at Alqualondë. But when Erestor Fëanorian is trapped in Gondolin after its closing, he finds himself dangerously attracted to this most Fëanorian of men.
Erestor Fëanorian knows no other love than that for the House of Fëanor and his lord Maglor. But when he finds himself alone among the suspicious Gondolindrim, he strikes a strange friendship with a man unlike any he has met before.
But even as Turgon isolates Gondolin from the rest of Middle Earth, Glorfindel and Erestor cannot isolate themselves from their pasts.

The guards were new, a few weeks out of training. Glorfindel had had nightmares for months, now. He hadn't slept since they departed Lindon, a week earlier.
So when the orcs attacked, well. Many things went wrong.
But Glorfindel was sent back to Middle-Earth for a reason, and some things were not meant to pass. Not yet. So time tore like an old cloth, and his ears rung.
