Summary
Danny tells Taylor that he’s dating a man. Taylor doesn’t have a problem with it, but she fails to understand the implications Kenta’s Asian identity in Brockton Bay. Still, he changes her life for the better, and Taylor hopes he’ll become her stepdad.
Then, she fights him during her first night out in costume, and their relationship completely changes. They both love Danny though, so they’re willing to figure out how to make it work for his sake.

Potholes collected darkness like rainwater, and alleyways hosted patchwork spiderwebs of swaying laundry lines. A maroon shawl bounced cheerfully as a squirrel dashed across it, before leaping to another and sending a gossamer scarf floating down to earth. Tim tucked their arms tighter around their knees, watching the washing swing lightly, the shine of splintered glass, the depths of a black hole in the asphalt. They thought, in flickers, of watercolours. Of ghosts.
