Summary
Humans did not need a fertility crisis to become monsters. The Sahren did. They crossed galaxies to find the woman who had been hidden from them. The government hid her once more because spite is easier than diplomacy.
For a woman who had never felt loved or accepted, this could have been mistaken for salvation. But love, in a dying species, is not a soft thing. It arrives with intent. Her people will call her their beloved daughter, one final miracle. And they mean every word. They will also expect, as a species that has been mourning itself for centuries, that she will come to want what they want.
Some of them will not wait for her to want it.

TW: Detailed Suicide Attempt in Chapter 1
Following the violent death of your longtime partner, Soap, you start to rot. The descent culminates in a messy, fractured suicide attempt. You don't make it back to Johnny. Instead, you wake up to find your autonomy entirely stripped away. Ghost, Soap's cold, towering lieutenant, witnesses your attempt and uses his military leverage to legally and physically claim guardianship over you. You lose your rights, your privacy, and control of your own body to a man who commands the space around you like a cage.On the surface, it’s a sick, desperate play by Ghost. He's suffocating beneath the weight of his own guilt; he couldn’t save his best friend on the battlefield, so he intends to keep you alive against your will. You hate him for it.
But the foundation of your captivity warps. Ghost isn't a good man, and he's entirely self-serving. He likes your dependence. He begins to savor the absolute control, trading his guilt for a predatory satisfaction as he domesticates your despair. You are no longer a tragic duty to be protected by him; you are his.

Summary
Volunteering at a long-term rehab facility in Scotland, you’re assigned weekly visits with a soldier recovering from a traumatic brain injury. When he emerges from his coma, he will need to relearn everything from locomotion to language to emotional regulation, with you as one of the few constants in his life. Although you don't know much about him - and he can't exactly tell you, at least not right away - your bond grows week by week through poetry, flashcards, and stilted conversations.
Maybe the dead can be reborn, after all.

Summary
The sea was supposed to take you, but König got to you first.
Chained to the cold limestone of a secluded sea-grotto, your fate is entirely in the hands of a large, lonely predator who genuinely believes he is your savior. To König, you are a precious trinket in need of heavy-handed protection. He brings you raw prey, showers you in rusted treasures, and murmurs soft German pet names in the dark, trying his best to play the part of a gentle husband.
But as his obsessive touches linger, you realize the true horror of your captivity. You are slowly mutating into something strange, until you can never return to land again.
