If asked, Jason wouldn’t be able to say when exactly it began.
Maybe it started when his case and Tim’s ended up crossing paths, and neither of them expected working together to be so effortless.
Maybe it was when Tim mentioned just how much Jason meant to him as a kid, back when Jason was still wearing bright colors and Tim was still hiding behind a camera. He’d said it off handedly, as if it were nothing, but it left Jason reeling.
Or maybe it was when Jason noticed himself becoming entirely too fixated on how Tim’s hand flexed, on his exposed forearm, on how his smile showed so many teeth.
