They would marry, he would graduate medical school, and they would have children who would one day also attend Welton. He felt largely ambivalent about it. This foregone conclusion had nothing to do with the romantic flourishes and swoon-worthy protagonists he’d been introduced to by Keating’s class or Shakespeare.
And anyhow. These days, when Neil found himself getting distracted, it was not by the girls at Henley Hall.
