“Is there any part of your body that is not perfect?” She asked, her fingers trailing from his scalp down to his face, and her thumb finding its way to rest beneath his chiselled jawline.
“I could ask the same of you,” he replied with a sly smirk, voice weighted with reverence and depth: touches tender and almost… devout.
As for him, the monster hiding under her bed (or, hiding under the face of her lover in this moment), who knew what he thought of her?
But in this fleeting moment, she felt… loved. She felt seen. And so she closed her eyes and continued the fairytale.

Since their first night together, Tav and the Emperor have fallen into a routine together. Perhaps it is genuine lust for the being who was only conjured to seduce and tempt her, or perhaps she has fallen in genuine love with the beast beneath. But for now, at least, Tav has been summoned back into the Astral Prism, that her protector might pay his toll for her loyalty and subservience.
Too bad for Tav that she was always a sucker for a man in armour…

After coming close to death, the Luminary was entombed on a cumbersome life-sustaining apparatus in the council chambers. Humanity celebrated that they would not lose their shepherd and that he would command them still; that he would guide humanity until the last human drew their breath. The media and the public were overjoyed.
They didn't know the true story of the Luminary's imprisonment.

Snape stood before her, tall and menacing, unbuttoning his shirt, and she just couldn't keep her eyes away, her gaze was glued to his form. The unbuttoning felt like a countdown to something she didn't want to experience:

Summary
War brims on the horizon of Hallownest’s prestigious kingdom. The plague of that terrible god, the Radiance, has the citizens of Eternal in constant paranoia and fear as outbreaks increase. Criminals rampage in the streets, bringing with them their Colosseum of Fools, and all of its gambling, glory, and gore. And not far from Hallownest’s border, the storm of other gods rages on. Scarlet flames, and silk spun to strangle.
The knight, Hornet, and Tiso must each pave their own path as the situation in Hallownest worsens. An abandoned vessel; born as a tool, but seeking greater purpose through adventure and exploration. A reluctant heiress; tied between her regal responsibilities, and her ravenous thirst for combat. And a determined immigrant; rejected by his own kingdom, and out to prove his place in a society that would quickly devour him.
* TL;DR: An AU about Hallownest's collapse that places all Hollow Knight characters in the same time period. (Also I repurposed a lot of NPCs and villains to fit a new overarching narrative. Imagine Hollow Knight if it was by Brandon Sanderson.)
