Summary
A Faker playing at being the Faker.
That was Shiho Emiya, the apparently female version of Shiro Emiya.
It had been a neat trick, a hard farce to play at denial, but she had done it for most of her life until the night where the Fifth Holy Grail War began. Stabbed in the place of Shiro, tied down by the role of Hero, Shiho wished that it was anyone but her now.
Screw being a Hero of Justice, screw Ideals and Dreams, and definitely screw her because Shiho fucking Emiya was many things but she was never a quitter.
...She was still refusing to be a Hero, but if she could help people, she would.
Here's to this farce of an attempt at saving the world.

If someone were to ask anyone involved when the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War went- well, not wrong, not really wrong by the standards of most of the people involved, but when it went strange, the interviewee would have probably cast their eyes over to Sakura Matou and muffled their laugh behind their hands, before repeating the question in an over-the-top, mocking tone.

The first time Cu met him, it was in a school yard, and he was the girl in the red jacket’s Servant. The second time was when Archer betrayed his master, traded her for Caster, and Cu took his own initiative. That was when he decided he hated the Archer in red, for the way he so callously betrayed his Master, for his pessimistic view on what it meant to be a hero, for the way he dared to survive Gae Bolg’s thrust. He stood there in that crater, bleeding and half dead, and Cu would have finished him off if his absence wouldn’t have been noticed, if that order to retreat if someone survived Gae Bolg’s thrust wasn’t still in place. So he left him there, alone and wrecked. If Cu never met him again, it would be too soon.
He wasn’t that lucky, of course.Series
