Kojiro frowns at the automatic text message staring back at him from his phone screen. It is not the first time he went unanswered by Kaoru, nor the first time he gets the Annoying Client treatment of having his calls and messages immediately thwarted by Carla’s automatic answer. It is, however, the first time it happens since they’ve been dating.
Kaoru is having a bad day, Kojiro is determined to help.

Summary
Alhaitham peers at Kaveh, a few tears escaping down his cheeks, which Kaveh helps to wipe away. He lets out a defeated sigh and steps away from Kaveh’s arms, turning to walk back to his own bedroom. But, Kaveh quickly stops him.
“Wait. With me.”
“What?”
“Sleep with me.” Kaveh’s cheeks warm slightly. “In my bed.”
The 4 times that Alhaitham sleeps with Kaveh in his bed for a sensible reason + the 1 time that he does so just because.

Summary
Al-Haitham hums, sitting back in his seat. His eyes get that look they always do when he's thinking– at least that had stayed the same– before he put his hands in his pockets.
“You can stay with me, if you'd like,” he says all too casually as he pulls a hand back out his pocket. “For the time being,” he adds on a little too quickly, “until you manage to get yourself out of the mess you’ve made.”
Kaveh was about to open his mouth to protest. Like he'd ever take an offer from him, especially with that attitude.
But then Al-Haitham slides a key across the table to him–golden, with emerald embellishments, a carbon copy of the soulmark on Kaveh's arm– and the words on his lips dissipate into the warm tavern air.

Alhaitham steps closer, looking at Kaveh with an odd look in his eyes. He’s never seen it before.
“Did you mean it?” He asks, his words slower this time. “That you love me?”
“You–” Kaveh furrows his eyebrows, at a loss. “Were you even listening to me this whole time?”
“Kaveh, please.”
Alhaitham and Kaveh's relationship is supposed to move slowly. Yet, when Kaveh breaks down and Alhaitham takes care him, Kaveh accidentally blurts out "I love you" much too early.
