But he still hadn't expected to be kidnapped, locked in a basement, and forced to relive the demon blood-induced horror of the bar all over again. He'd say no to the demon blood, no matter what they did to him, because even with Dean not there, he couldn’t just go back on his promise. He wanted to be better. He wanted to make it right. This wasn’t the way.

    Sam sighs, standing up. He drops some cash on the bar, and walks out. The street lights feel abnormally bright, but Sam only had one drink. So he just assumes that they were that way the entire time, or that it’s just in his head. However, his vision starts to blur a little as he reaches the motel room.

    I didn’t drink that much. What the hell? Am I developing another migraine?

    He slips inside, and tosses his keys. He considers texting Dean to let him know that he’s not feeling well, and to be quiet when he gets back, but eventually decides that Dean would just take that as a challenge to be as loud as possible. So Sam heads to get a shower so he can call it a night early.
