Why that skinny little boy needs so much caffeine, she can only guess. Outsider POV.
This was written for Twisted Tropes: Dark Roast, inspired by themegalosaurus' prompt:
Prompt: tween Sam's caffeine dependency
I keep thinking of adolescent Sam in episode 7x03 ordering some kind of horrendous quadruple-shot coffee to keep him awake while he's researching a case. So maybe an outsider POV story with a young Sam who drinks too much coffee, is always studying weird-looking books, and doesn't seem to have a parent in evidence. Many thanks to the fab Alyndra for taking time out even at the panicked height of Big Bang season to beta, and for always challenging me and making my writing better by doing it. <3

"I fuckin' hate group projects."
Dylan gives Dean a wary glance. He gets it — he’s not the biggest fan of these things himself. But when you’re a group of two, “I fuckin’ hate group projects” is awful close to “I fuckin’ hate working with you.”
In which a teenage Dean Winchester makes a friend and leaves something behind, and Sammy doesn't know when to shut up.

Summary
The hunting community has always whispered about the Winchesters: the brothers who cheat death, leave chaos in their wake, and stick to each other like they’re all they’ve got. But when rumors turn darker—questions about what really keeps them so close—the tension explodes into violence, suspicion, and a bar brawl that leaves everyone wondering if there’s more to Sam and Dean than meets the eye. As the hunters close in, the brothers are left to grapple with a question they can’t outrun: what if the world’s judgment isn’t entirely wrong?

Summary
“You don’t need to call anyone.” The older brother was backing away. One arm thrown out in front of little Sam. “Seriously, we’re leaving. Sorry. Don’t call the cops. We’ll leave.”
Or: 10-year-old Dean and 6-year-old Sam are trying to escape the summer heat, and get caught sneaking into a movie.

Summary
“Love when you read.” Sam squishes his brother’s cheeks and Dean makes and exaggerated face, tongue sticking out to make Sam giggle. “Kiss.” Sam demands to him.
“Aww come on Sammy.” Dean starts to complain but all Sam has to do is pout and Dean hefts out a sigh that doesn’t match the affection in his eyes. “Okay, just one.” And he presses a chaste kiss to Sam’s lips. “Now, bedtime for real.” They never notice Bobby half hovering between the kitchen and the living room, unsure if he was ever really needed by them at all.
Five times Bobby Singer sees Sam and Dean have a moment just for them.

Summary
When Dean Winchester is sent five years into the future by Zachariah, he learns not only of the apocalyptic consequences of saying no to Michael, but also of what passions the end of the world inspires in humanity. His future self and Castiel both have heartfelt conversations with him, and he gradually realizes that his feelings towards the Castiel from his own time might not be as platonic as he thought.
Alternatively, Future Castiel observes Dean from the past as he struggles to take in the horrors of the future, and tries to relate him to the future Dean Winchester he knows. The two men are one and the same, separated only by five years, but that might just be enough to turn them into different people entirely.

A hunter is heading to Tamara's (Season 3, The Magnificent Seven) funeral, and shows up at a bar full of hunters. When the famous Winchesters show up him and his friends have stories to tell about them, but who knows what is true and what isn't? Inspired by the line in 12x06 where a hunter says to Dean: "you think the stories about Asa are crazy, you should hear what they say about you."

The thing is that Jack is a good student. A great student, even.
As the school counselor, Vera’s been trying to make sense of it on her own for awhile. He's such a nice boy, but his behavior is off-putting in a way she can't quite put her finger on. She hates having to bring parents into the equation, but with Jack, she’s reached the point where there’s simply nothing else she can do.

Summary
The bottle of bleach drops from Daphne’s hand into her cart, landing with a sloshing thud as she takes in the scene in front of her, frozen in her tracks. Emmanuel is standing right in front of her, arguing with another man about cleaning supplies.
“Dean, I don’t think this is safe for Jack. This is going to create noxious fumes,” Emmanuel says, squinting at the ingredients of the cleaner apparently-Dean had thrust at him.
Dean pinches the bridge of his nose, and Daphne squeezes the handle of her shopping cart harder, feeling faint.
It’s not every day you come across your long lost husband at the Stop N’ Shop.
