“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.

“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”

“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”

In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

    Summary

Lonely and listless, Crowley has been wandering the Earth with no contact from Aziraphale for centuries. He is assigned an unusual job by his superiors, tasked with visiting the dwelling of a local holy man which lies in the fringes of a remote desert village. This man accepts one guest - an unbeliever, perhaps, or someone down on their luck - per night into his hut for rituals of private worship. Crowley has been ordered to put a stop to these rituals, which encourage even society's most rejected and unconventional individuals to invite the love of God into their lives, by any means necessary... even if that means smiting the holy man where he stands.

Under cover of darkness and the anonymity he is afforded by his glasses, Crowley arrives at the hut posing as a human infidel… and finds that the wise man’s methods are far more intimate than he first suspected. Immersing himself in the ritual might just be enough to forget about the angel he’s missing… until he realises that the man behind it is alarmingly angelic himself.

Self-indulgent vampire AU. Why does Gurathin keep staring at Murderbot? And why does he look hungry?

The problem with traveling with a world famous detective is that she's all too good at cutting straight to the heart of things, even when they might be better off left unsaid.

    Summary

Aldo is looking down at him, his eyes both kind and sad.

“Acceptasne electionem de te canonice factam in Summum Pontificem?” he asks.

What can Thomas reply? He closes his eyes and pretends he doesn’t feel the moisture gathering there. “Accepto,” he says, his voice raspy and not steady enough. He has to push the words through; it hurts. Forgive me, he thinks. Forgive me, he prays.

    “Quo nomine vis vocari?”

His eyes overflow; a tear, two, five flow down. He bites his cheek and wills them to stop. “Ioannes.”

A heavy hand lands on his shoulder, shakes him and steadies him in the same choked breath. “A good name, Tommaso. A good name.” Tedesco’s voice is gruff, hoarse from the decades of smoking and vaping. And almost a month of grief, too.

None of this should be happening.

Innocent’s, Vincent’s papacy was everything Thomas had prayed for and more. In ten years, he changed so many things, and he had planned to change so many more for the next decade.

    He never had the chance.

A tale of two papacies, and one love story.
