Summary
In the wake of Will’s death, JJ has everyone in her corner… except her oldest friend. Despite their THC-laced Cheetos night and the impassioned confession “it gives me you,” Emily is more distant than ever.
Meanwhile, Emily is holding everyone at arm’s length… especially the woman she loves. Two decades of suppressed feelings take a backseat to dismantling BAUgate for good and giving JJ space to grieve.
In our take on Season 18 of Criminal Minds Evolution (that will lack so much plot at times because we want these two idiots to finally be together), will JJ and Emily find their way home to each other? Or are they destined to dance around and around, never being brave enough to admit their feelings or act on them?

Summary
—opening wounds for the closure
My take on "Emily fell first, JJ fell harder".
A social media post drags Emily’s past out from that carefully compartmentalized part of her brain; the love that never was is slipping out of her fingers; and the cross that she’d long buried is starting to burn on the back of her throat. Will she find her way back? Will she let herself be loved? Will she learn to forgive that fifteen year old version of herself? Will she accept the fact that none of it was ever her fault?
OR
A character study based on Emily’s traumas, and how she’s trying to keep that mask of hers in tact whilst trying to balance a pendulum riddled with self-loathing, disgust, and guilt.
This is for the ones who feel too damaged to be deserving of love. And for the ones who, in spite of uneven odds, still try to hold on to it. Love isn't always easy or conventional—but that doesn't make it any less worth fighting for.

Namely, what would happen if she woke up next to Cat, and not on her couch, on Earth-Prime.
