Summary
When Ted goes back to Kansas over the break Rebecca finds herself in a terrible mood and Higgins is sick of being her punching bag.
"She blames Higgins. She knows it's not completely fair to do so but he’s got such a blameable face and the alternative would be admitting that she’s a bit dense which she will not be doing any time soon. So, she blames Higgins.
But she could not ignore what Higgins said to her, or rather yelled at her on that fateful day."

Summary
“Ted,” Beard repeats, voice gentle, his eyes glassy. “I’m so sorry.”
“Oh God,” Rebecca whispers from his left, and his head pivots to look at her; he’s taken aback by the look of abject horror on her face, her hand covering her mouth. Ted’s eyes widen at the sight of tears spilling over, leaving long, wet tracks down her cheeks. There’s a whooshing noise in his ears now and everything feels wrong; his brain is fighting to keep up – he feels like he’s missing something.
He shifts his focus, his vision blurring a little at the movement, the room tilting just a bit, his hands numb around the cover page of The Sun. Everything is hazy at the edges, there are hands tucked underneath his armpits holding him upright and he can't breathe, dammit.
The headline stands out in stark white letters, the title unmistakable:
Shocking Small-Town Suicide: Ted Lasso, Manager of AFC Richmond, reportedly found father dead in childhood home from self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1991.
The ground falls out from beneath his feet.
