Mark’s hands, so strong they had to invent heavier objects for him to work out with, slam on his desk. Cecil doesn’t react, even in spite of the fear lodged in his sternum. “No! He tortured people! Killed and experimented on them! Why the hell isn’t Sinclair in jail?! And why is Darkwing’s sidekick free?!”
They’re reasonable questions, one’s he’d normally answer with the same calm he’d answer most others. But the screaming Viltumite in front of him is scaring him as much as he’s exhausting him, for all that he’s only really showing the latter.
“Because I’m looking at the bigger picture.” He gets up, walking around his desk. “Unfortunately, those two are pretty damn important to it.”
(In which Cecil's argument with Mark goes a lot differently.)

Summary: Piccolo entertained the thought of training Son Gohan to fight the Saiyans for all of 3 seconds before realizing how absurd that idea was. The chances of a literal child being able to fight effectively against experienced genocidal aliens was essentially zero.
However, if the boy could not harm Piccolo’s enemies, then that incredible power was better off within himself.

The white-haired man froze, and almost right as that happened, the box started to shake.
Kagome’s body moved on instinct. Her gut telling her that something bad was about to happen, her knowledge that she could stop it, her deep conviction the white-haired man deserved to have someone on his side — it all took over, and she couldn't have stopped to think about it if she wanted to.
Just as the box was launching itself forward, she’d stepped in front of it, raising a hand. Her back collided with that of the white-haired man, so she was certain whatever was coming wouldn’t get in contact with him, another unconscious decision. Since she didn’t have anything to channel her energy into, all she could do was raise the staff she’d grabbed earlier. It wasn’t anything much, but she could still push her energy through it, using it to shape it as she wished to.
“Kekkai!”
Or: Kagome is at Shibuya, and one person changes everything.

A Senator from a less prominent planet has had enough of Chancellor Palpatine's incompetence and calls for a Vote of No-Confidence and the installation of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.
This one action becomes the catalyst that changes the direction of the galaxy.

Alternate Title: NO TRUCE WITHE MONOTREMES
A canon divergence story starting after the events of IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog issue #56. Surge, wakes up in a hospital bed, she is Tenrec with greenish-yellow quills, black marking, and a bio-mechincal battle android, or Bionicle of sorts, remade by the mad scientist, Doctor Starline.
With no memory of who she was before this life, and no one she’d call a friend to be by her side. The only question now is whether she'll become a Black-Hearted villain or Brave-Hearted Hero.
Disclaimer: This is a Disco Elysium crossover fic with Surge having the Skills in her head, but it’s more of an Sonic the Hegehog IDW fic. So there's no Pale, it doesn't take place on Elysium, and I have no plans for Harry or Kim to make an appearance.
This fic will also have more minor AU elements that don’t pertain to Surge but exist to flesh out the world.
