Ilya tucked his smile against Shane’s neck and brought his hand down Shane’s front. “He used to be so boring,” he said to Hunter. “Would not let me fuck him because you were next door.”
Shane groaned. “You’re such an asshole—that was a long time ago,” he said. “I was trying to be discreet.”
“Yes, and now look at you,” Ilya said. “Go suck Hunter’s dick.”

Summary
Shane feels like he might be sick. He crouches down in front of Ilya, slowly, and takes in the reams of scattered notes around them; scrawled Cyrillic, cross-hatched abrasions where the pen has ripped all the way through, a couple of illegible English words dotting the chaos here and there. It looks like a crime scene.
“What, uh,” Shane starts haltingly, sucking in a shaky breath before trying again. “What’s all this, Ilya?”
Ilya finally seems to notice that he’s there. He looks at him with wide eyes, red-rimmed, like he’s cried at some point then scrubbed furiously at the tears. Dreadfully, he laughs.

Summary
The Swiss National League doesn’t care about the legendary Hollander-Rozanov rivalry. When the MLH can’t negotiate with the Hockey Players’ Union in time to prevent a hockey lockout at the start of the 2015 season, the Zürich Lions jump at the chance to sign both Shane and Ilya to short-term contracts. For four months in Switzerland, they share a team, a line, a house, and a bed.
Then the lockout ends in January, and it’s time to go back. Back to different countries, cities, lives. Beds.
Reentry is harder than expected.
