    "Jackie isn't fool enough to hope for more than almost," she says, smoke slipping from between her lips along with her words. She presses lightly on the back of their head, just enough for Jim to get the hint, to lean back in. A contended sigh, a hum of a moan. "Try and cage a cat and you're only in for trouble. I can't keep you, and I don't aim to try. I like you just as you are."

    A small spark of pleasure settles in their chest at that. They don't mind the idea of belonging to someone, but being kept is a different matter altogether. And they like this, like being on their knees for her, like the weight of her hand in their hair - but they like other things too.

    Besides. They already belong to someone else, don’t they.

    "Guess this means I'll just have to keep coming back," they say. When they glance up at her face, Jackie looks pleased at the idea. This is far from their first time together – but it still feels new enough that the sight settles some reassurance in their chest.

    "Yeah," Jackie says softly, "guess you'll have to."
