Summary
There’s a sudden presence at the door and Robby shuffles in.
Dennis doesn't need to see him to know how exhausted he is, he can feel it in the way he shuffles across the linoleum tiles, the way he drapes himself over Dennis’ back like a blanket, face tucked into the crook of his neck.
“Morning brother.”
Jack’s got that same weird look on his face as he did last night, and when Robby doesn’t answer, he frowns.
“You good?”

Summary
“C’mon pup, let’s get you home.”
“Text me,” Robby says, catching Jack before he walks out of the room.”Please.”
Jack nods, and after a moment, jerks his head towards Dennis. “Say another goodbye.”
It’s clear Robby doesn’t need to be told twice because he sweeps the (now standing) Dennis into his arms and kisses him, carefully, lingering a little too long. It’s almost as if he’s trying to memorise the taste, reassuring himself again that Dennis is warm and he is breathing and he is here safe and he is okay, because when he pulls away to kiss Jack it’s a whole lot more desperate, his hands fisting in his husband’s shirt.
“Call me if anything changes,” he says again, and Jack nods.
“I will,” Jack promises, and Robby nods, casting one more worried look over at Dennis.
“I love you.”

Summary
It’s been a long string of long, miserable days. More than Dennis can count.
Sometimes, in his head, he realises he has this mindset that because of the fact he’s in a happy relationship, he should be happy all the time, even when things go wrong, and it’s hard, when he feels like shit because he finds himself getting upset, at himself, for the very fact that he’s… experiencing emotions?
Jack and Robby have tried, they’ve gone out of their way to reassure him that he’s allowed to be upset and angry and everything else under the sun, but it’s hard, it’s hard, because he can’t shake the feeling that he’s not allowed.

Summary
Jack Abbot is a man excellent in a crisis.
Unequivocally, he’s the person you want around when shit goes wrong.
He thrives in it, thrives on the adrenaline and the uncertainty and the drama of it all. He’s level headed, he’s smart, he’s a reassuring presence throughout all of the shit.
He can solve every problem, and he’s kind and he's gentle.
He’s just… not good when it comes to… certain things.

Summary
Aligning their schedules so that they manage to get a day off as a three seems to be a near-impossible task.
For as much as Robby and Jack go to scheduling time and time again, the very valid point of the fact that having neither of them on means the Pitt is left without an ED attending, which means the hospital has to either pull someone in from another department, or go without.
It’s the same argument they’ve been making since they became attendings, so it’s not like any part of this argument is new, it’s just additionally frustrating now trying to work a third person into the mix.
