“Really?” Jack says, his eyebrows lifting in disbelief. “I didn’t take you for someone strict about smokers.”
“It’s the worst taste someone can have in their mouth during a kiss,” she replies naturally, brushing it off. “…do you want a cup too? No sugar, I remember.”
Jack just nods, because his mind is stuck on this new discovery. Samira doesn’t like smokers, and he is exactly the kind of guy who smokes five cigarettes in a row.

Or five times that Jack Abbot tries to quit his smoking habit to be close to Samira Mohan… and once he actually manages to try.

Samira rolled her eyes, “Okay.” She gently began tending to the wound, “our little secret.”
Jack’s eyebrows rose slightly, and a flicker of amusement and disbelief crossed his face. “Our little secret,” he echoed. “I’ve heard that before.”
Her face heated. She tried to focus on the wound, dabbing it with the Q-tip. She was so close that she could smell his cologne again. It had faded from her pillowcase. His voice brought her back to the moment: “Do you still have my card details saved?”
“Huh?”
“For the Uber? Do you still have my card on your phone?”
OR: The season 2, episode 7 Mohabbot scence but they are exes who are trapped in a vicious cycle with one another.

Summary
Jack would be lying if he said he hadn't thought about it. The singular focus Samira directed towards her patients, the compassion and attention she seemed to have for every person that passed through her care–Jack was nearly certain that being on the receiving end of it would knock him on his ass.
The reality of it was not far from his daydreams.

Summary
Samira keeps breathing in and out, trying to calm and cool herself down. It’s so hot in here — was it always so hot in here? — and she can feel sweat on her forehead, so she splashes more water on her face. She’s flushed and her heart is pounding, blood roaring in her ears. She has to go back soon; Parker has her own patients to take care of, and this patient with the mysterious illness is Samira’s to diagnose, to save. She looks in the mirror only to freeze. Her pupils are dilated and combined with all her other symptoms…
Fuck.
She stumbles out of the bathroom as quickly as she can, intent on getting herself back to the patient’s room. Everyone needs to know how contagious this illness is and how quickly it affects you. Everyone.
But she only makes it a few steps out the door before collapsing, just like her patient.
Strong arms catch her just as she loses consciousness.
