Summary

Wei Wuxian was betrayed by majority of the cultivators of the major sects, including his beloved Lan Wangji. They all believed Jin Guangyao's words over his own, that Wei Wuxian almost killed Lan Wangji. Having enough of their hypocrisy, Wei Wuxian decided to heed to his uncle's (the Emperor of Northern Wei Empire/NWE) advice on becoming the next Emperor, all the while dealing with his manipulative relatives and politicians.
5 years later, a lot of events has happened. Wei Wuxian was proven innocent. The NWE turned into Wei Immortal Dynasty. Wei Wuxian crowned as Emperor-now Holy Emperor of the newly turned Immortal Dynasty. Cultivators feeling guilty for their actions. But what those cultivators did not expect is for Wei Wuxian to change into an entirely different person.
"Wei Ying, please forgive me. I have loved you and I still do."
"Ho? Sorry, Hanguang Jun, but I have no interest in loving you again. Nor am I interested in loving anyone else."

Summary
Wei Ying tries to find a back to his old life after Lan WangJi dumped him for his brother, only to realise that it wasn't as easy as it seemed. It felt as if the entire world had turned it's back on him. He felt helpless, almost unable to breathe. The feeling one might get when they are Drowning. The helplessness and the desperation. Wei Ying felt it all. He only wished for someone to walk inside his life, he only wished to be loved once again.
