“Look kid.” Dennis hates when Robby calls him that. Or at least when Robby does it to try and emphasise their age gap. It could be hot if Robby didn’t actually treat him like a kid. Like he is right now. “I’m flattered honestly, but you don’t want to date me.”
Dennis barely contains a scoff. Crossing his arms he straightens, standing as tall as possible. Their height difference really doesn’t help Dennis, not when Robby is literally looking down at him all the time. “I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t want to, Robby.”

“Don’t you have Mateo’s number?”
That’s right. Dennis does have Mateo’s number. How can Dennis say that, at the end of the day, he would always want to run to Robby in a crisis?
“Er, I didn’t think he’d be awake?”
They both know this is a lie. Robby laughs, something mocking in the undercurrent. Somehow, even this unkindness is welcome, his voice acting like a soothing balm against Dennis's flushed skin. “Right. And an old man like me was definitely going to be awake at this time.”
“I knew you’d say the right thing, that’s all. I mean, I feel like you usually do. When it matters.”
or, Dennis calls Robby to be his fake boyfriend for the night.
