Every morning was the same for Tamara. Lucy would drop her off at school on the way to work. 2 years ago she stole her car. Lucy and Tim found her living in it and when foster care didnt work out, she moved in with Lucy.
Recently Lucy moved in with Tim and Tamara moved in as well, she had a bedroom in his basement and she got to decorate it however she wanted. Lucy and Tim drive her to school every morning on their way to work.
One morning though, she wakes up earlier to study for her quiz, she decides to walk to school herself rather than get a ride. She wouldnt realize that this would be one of the worst decisions she has made…..

Because her brain has obviously switched to stand-by mode. Because it would mean ... no it can't be. "Unless it is?"

“He can be… grumpy,” her English Lit teacher says, and Lucy winces where she’s standing in the doorway, her books clasped to her chest and her heavy backpack weighing her down.
“So he’s an asshole?”
Luna smiles at her and chuckles softly as she shakes her head.
“No, he’s a good boy deep down. He’s … like a burnt marshmallow, really. All crispy and rough on the outside, but inside he’s just gooey and sweet.”
