With that, he reached forward, fair-skinned fingers moving disjointedly, trembling as movement, and caressed Alex’s face. It was a curious feeling, a hallucinatory touch, like the sensation in a phantom limb; it was more energy than physical collision, but even so Alex found himself leaning into it, closer to the thing he wasn’t sure he could in good conscience call Nigel Colbie, and sighing out something long and aching.
“I missed touching you,” Nigel murmured. “You held my body, after. You were so warm.”♠︎
Nigel Colbie was dead. Alex watched him die, felt the rifle recoil beneath his own hands, saw the split of his jagged skull and the pouring blood. Nigel Colbie was dead.
But now, Nigel Colbie was here, in his cell. Speaking to him. -

Really, Alex had more of a life left than Nigel. He could go home, fabricate some story, condemn Nigel with his own delusions and get off scot-free. Of course he could – he was in the position to, wasn’t he, smart and white and with a future, free of bias from the system. But this control over Nigel – he didn’t want to relinquish that. And Nigel had nowhere to go.
And, although he would never say it out loud, the rush of the gun under his chin and Nigel at his feet was something that he would quite like to replicate. The risk. The reward.♠︎
The gun misfires. Alex realises he can hold himself hostage to keep Nigel alive. They flee to London and begin to dance around faux-normality, but it won't last long.

Drink. At that moment, such a devastating desire gripped Owen that he sat up and stared at Legs with desperation plain in his demeanour. “Turn me,” he said.

Legs has dragged Owen out from hell and run away from Oakhurst with him in tow. But Owen doesn't know how to live as a human, and Legs doesn't want to live as a vampire.
This was a short experiment to try and get the hang of these characters as well as practice my past tense, so it may be out of character - be warned. -

“You-” and he stops, starts again, like a faulty disc in a jukebox. “You helped me?”
Scar frowns. “Of course, Angel,” he starts, tries to play off the slip of the name that is definitely not his actual name, “I mean, what else would I do, it’s not-”
“Angel?” the figure repeats.
He decides to just face it. “Well, you’ve got - like, the wings and everything. I needed something to call you in my head.”
Then, perks up. Smiles, “Will you tell me your name then?”
Angel shakes his head. “Fat chance,” he says. Scar scowls.❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:･
Scar finds 'Angel' in his garden in the middle of the night, covered in blood, bruises and code burns, with ripped silk robes and enormous white wings he doesn't seem to be quite used to. He won't tell him his name, and he's lying about what exactly he is, and about what's happened to land him in the middle of Boatem. And all of this seems to be correlating with Mumbo's... moods. It's been normal for him to grieve at this time every year, what with that freak accident server glitch seven years ago, but this year... it feels different. Like there's something more going on, that Scar just doesn't know about.

“Everyone is in class.”
“We’re not,”“Well, we’re special, aren’t we?” he murmurs, corners of his mouth quirking upwards. “Romeo and Juliet.”
“We’re not them,” Grian mutters, and it comes out bitter. Scar hums. He kisses his jaw. “And what happens if someone sees us?”
“We tell them it’s just method,” Scar says. His eyes are piercing. “Isn’t it?”

Grian thinks there might be something seriously wrong with this college play - Romeo and Juliet - and that it might even be connected to those strange visions that keep getting worse. And really, he needs to stop sneaking around with his Juliet, Scar Goodtimes, because people are going to find out about their… situation, if he isn’t more careful. And he really, really doesn’t want that. Especially not when Taurtis is in the play as well.
