Summary
Wei Wuxian quietly plucks Lan Wangji’s hand from the air, setting it gently on his stomach, just as he leans over and grabs another bite.
“Wei Ying? Is your stomach hurting?” Lan Wangji presses his hand gently on Wei Wuxian’s stomach. “Did you get medicine?”
Wei Wuxian sets his chopsticks down. “Don’t press too hard, Lan Zhan.” He murmurs, kissing Lan Wangji’s forehead. “You’ll squish our baby.”
As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Wei Wuxian felt a rush of relief. He isn’t carrying the secret alone anymore.
Lan Wangji is staring at Wei Wuxian with his mouth agape. Wei Wuxian had never even seen his husband’s jaw drop, even when he had revealed that he gave his golden core away.
“Our…” Lan Wangji trails off, quietly rubbing Wei Wuxian’s stomach.
“Mhm.” Wei Wuxian smiles, setting his chopsticks down. “Our baby, Lan Zhan.”

Summary
There were days he was normal. The quietness and regular routine soothing enough to keep him out of the reaches of grief.
But most days, Lan Wangji was just enjoying watching a person that Wei Ying loved so much grow up.
There is one thing that Lan Wangji can say about his life now- it would not have kept on going if he had not found this boy in the tree trunk that day. If he had missed A-Yuan's injured whimpers, like his brother and uncle had. If he had not took in Lan Yuan as his own, Lan Wangji would not be here today.

Summary
He had spent so much time at the Cloud Recesses after Wei Wuxian’s death, at Lan Xichen’s request, trying to lighten him up after his punishment. However, there was nothing Nie Huaisang could have done- Lan Wangji could only be cheered up by people and things that Wei Wuxian had touched or impacted. And while Nie Huaisang was, now admittedly, a little desperate for Lan Wangji’s attention, he simply wasn’t that desperate. Not desperate enough to take advantage of Lan Wangji’s grief and steal Wei Wuxian’s place in his heart. All he could do was watch in silence, watching Lan Wangji talk quietly to A-Yuan, watch Lan Wangji grow into a father figure Wei Wuxian would be proud of.
And now, there is absolutely nothing Nie Huaisang can do.

Summary
Lan Zhan puts his head in his hands, watching the game go on in his peripherals, his mind racing. He’s on the bench, supposed to be cooling off, taking a break, and all he can see is the sweat dripping down Wei Wuxian’s forehead and all he can feel are the light touches of Wei Wuxian’s hands on his hips. He really needs to pull it together.

Wei Wuxian flushes at the words. “Aiya, Wei Ying. He’s at least twice your age!”
Wei Ying shrugs. “Doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate him!”
Lan Wangji puts one hand on the doorframe, trying to prevent his knees from collapsing under him. “Wei Ying.” Is the only word that actually comes out of his mouth.
All three pairs of eyes train on him, and talk in unison. “Yes, Lan Zhan?”
