Summary
Just before Jack’s boot passed the event horizon, he noticed as the pattern of light emanating from the giant puddle like surface flashed and grew erratic for a split second. He could almost swear the color had skewed to a greener shade of blue before returning to normal.
He hoped that didn’t mean anything.
It was supposed to be a routine mission, and it was! Until Jack walked back through the gate right behind his team only to find himself thrust into the reality of another Colonel O’Neill. And vice versa.
Things get a little awkward when his wife starts calling him ‘sir’, and his second in command tries to kiss him.

He should expect support from her, not the other way around. He ought to turn around and walk the other way. But she looks so dejected---so upset---so troubled---that he can't quite make himself actually leave. After all, they'd always been friends, hadn't they?
