Summary
During their 1965 filming of Help, John learns something about Paul's devotion
Paul likes the attention, craves it, John knows, though he’ll never be able to get Paul to admit to it. Like a show dog, he thinks as Paul stumbles on the snow again, scowling and waiting to be collected up by one of the crew, wrapped up in his black furs and snow boots. It’s greedy, really. Someone should put him in his place, train him to behave better.

Dave himself cuts Hal off completely, heels of his hands still pressed against his own face, as he mumbles out, all in one breath: “I kind of want to get you pregnant.”
Hal is not immediately certain how to respond to that.
(Dave admits something that he's wanted for a while now, and Hal gets to reap the benefits.)
