You reach up, and they lean down a little so you can trace the rings of cartilage that make up their trachea better, feeling so absurdly fragile beneath your touch, even though you know it'd take a fair bit of force to crack them. It seems impossible that you could wrap your hand around something like this and not destroy it.

And he doesn’t want to pick up Sonic’s body in pieces from the floor, but Sonic’s waving a nonchalant hand before Shadow can voice his violent troubles.
