The movie we never got. The team comes together and forms a family. They learn to work together, and communicate like adults! So if you were angry that there was never a movie of the crew coming together before they started fighting, you came to the right place.

This fic also lays in the foundation of the rest of the fics out past End Game; it takes place in June and July of 2015 and incorporates some current events. If I make it to 2020, we'll incorporate COVID, too.

Steve is really good at figuring out Tony's character; or rather, the author is. Some strange departures from canon, but true to the underlying personalities.

Bookmarker's Notes
Such good medical writing! Reminiscent of the best of Berton Roueche's medical mysteries: clear and easy to follow without being simplistic, and also increasingly suspenseful and involving.
Linguistics: hypercorrection of cases.
Ch. 5: The touch lingers on his own palm, an acute awareness of the connection between he and John.
Ch. 5: The nurse nods at Sherlock, then explains to both he and John that he'll brush his teeth, suction the airway, and then they'd ask Sherlock to step out for a few minutes.
Ch. 7: " but if you need me again, I'm available for you, just leave a message with whomever is on."Ch. 8: Use of 'nonplussed' to mean "unfazed" rather than "speechless, baffled."

"Remind me again why we're doing this?" Sam asked, feet up on the dash of the Quinjet.
"Because some girl made doe-eyes at Steve and asked for help and he can't say no to that," Bucky replied from the rear of the Quinjet. He hadn't been fast enough to call shotgun and he'd only just stopped sulking about it. Sam hadn't yet noticed the tiny balls of paper littering his hair.
Steve rolled his eyes. "No, because she made a good point and she had a lot of well-researched evidence to back it up."
"Well-researched evidence based on a bunch of internet news stories about weird crimes, which clearly leads to someone summoning a demon who's going to destroy the world," Bucky said. "I love you, Steve, but you're so gullible."
When a PhD student accidentally uncovers a plot to summon a demon and destroy the world, Captain America is the only one she can get to listen to her. Steve, Sam and Bucky will fly half-way around the globe to investigate, but can they get there in time to stop the ritual and save the world?
(All signs point to yes as an answer to at least one of those questions.)

Summary
Everyone knew how the story went: climb the beanstalk, brave the terrible giant, and if you were lucky and clever and quick you could come away with fortune enough to change your world. If you weren't…well, not every story had a happy ending.
Bucky's problem was that his story had gone wrong before it started. He wasn't braving the giant for a chance at fortune, he was climbing the beanstalk to save his skin—ironic, when he knew the giant was probably going to stomp him flat.
Except he didn't. Didn't stomp him flat, didn't send him back down the beanstalk, didn't act much like a terrible giant at all. He was kind in a way Bucky didn't know how to deal with because everyone knew that wasn't how the world worked. But Bucky was slowly coming to understand that at the top of a beanstalk nothing was what it seemed and that sometimes, with enough determination, what everyone knew could be changed completely.

This series is set in the verse of Owlet's Infinite Coffee and Protection Detail, which is absolutely wonderful.
If you like friendship and lots of fluff with some angst and hurt/comfort on the side, this series is for you! It's centered around Peter and Bucky's friendship, but has a lot of Superfamily content, too. I hope you enjoy; I've had a lot of fun writing this!

Summary
The drive with Vernon was the coldly silent type, this time. Harry stared out the window as the car bore him away from the magical world and felt the numbness begin to creep over him. He hated it here, of course. But what he hated most of all was the feeling of helplessness. He couldn’t do anything. He could only… exist, and wait for the summer to end.
If I could just... vanish, Harry thought idly.
For some reason the idea caught in his mind, like a jagged fingernail on fabric.
I- I really could disappear. One corner of his mouth quirked. I even have the cloak for it.
He pressed his head hard against the car window frame and pretended he was elsewhere. Anywhere else. Forever.

Summary
Bucky tapped him on the shoulder, swaying back and forth a little as he waited for the man to turn around. “Hello,” he said, and then promptly forgot what else he was going to say, because this guy was fucking beautiful. “Wow. Good face.”
Two of the guy’s friends, a man wearing a suit that fit so well it had to be bespoke and a man with a cute little gap between his front teeth, started cracking up. The petite redhead sitting next to them cocked her head to the side and pulled her phone out of her handbag. Beautiful Face just looked kind of pained, so Bucky redirected. He was a gentleman. He could take a hint. No hitting on beautiful guys who were uncomfortable with that sort of thing, no matter how lickable their jawlines were.
“Hello,” he repeated, doing his best to mind his manners. “I’m very sorry to bother you. Can I have a piggy-back ride?”
