Caitlyn leaned in a bit closer to her wife “Wake up honey” she whispered softly.
“What?”
“Vi it's an emergency”
“Shit!” Vi yelped as she tumbled off the bed and landed onto the ground face first with a large thump. The baby was coming, she has no time to think about her aching face that slammed against the wooden floors “I’m up! I’m up!” Vi panicked
Scurrying onto her feet Vi made her way around to her wife's side of the bed stubbing her toe in the process letting out another series of curse words under her breath as she walked in the dark. Caitlyn flicked the light on from the lamp that sat on the night table. She looked down at her wife with an amused look as Vi knelt down and put her hands on her pregnant belly “Not that kind of emergency honey.”
Vi looked up at her wife confused but then realized what she was woken up for as Caitlyn licked the last bit of peanut butter off her spoon. The red head rubbed her eyes and looked over at the time seeing it was almost 4 in the morning.
An empty jar of pickles and peanut butter sat by the alarm clock which only meant one thing. Another 4am run to the grocery store for her pregnant wife.
