When he gets back from his brief getaway in another universe, Peter feels different. By the time he’s back to his undecorated, barely furnished studio apartment, he’s composed a to-do list in his head. It’s not specific enough to be called a plan—just goals, small and large, mostly vague, probably all of them too ambitious—but Peter feels good today, high off a fight that ended well and a comradery he hasn’t had in years. He’s sad it was all over so quickly, but he’s home now, feeling alive. Feeling ready.
