Summary
They didn't plan on this being the day they took what Gaius assured Merlin was already a wildly inappropriate master/servant relationship and added sex. It wasn't a bad day for it though; Merlin certainly wasn't complaining.

Summary
All too quickly, Merlin becomes painfully, embarrassingly aware of how he must look, hair uncombed and messy, dressed in old sweats and an oversized t-shirt that reads THE CAT'S MEOW. At least he'd remembered to shave that morning.
(A Halloween-y sequel can be found here.)

Summary
Arthur heaves a sigh. “All right. Show me where it is.” They tie their horses to a scraggly willow that seems to look melancholically back at them while the horses snort and stamp their feet, eager to be moving again, and Arthur and Merlin begin to trudge through the thick wood.
It’s only a few minutes of shallow ice cracking under their feet and watching Merlin trip and clutch at nearby trees before they reach a thin brook that is indeed frozen solid. It threads lithely through the forest, caught in its last rush and swell of current before the cold turned a greedy eye on it, and Arthur finds it oddly hypnotizing in its inertia.
“Pretty, huh?” Merlin sits down on the bank, drawing his knees up to his and resting his chin on his arms. He stares out at the water.
