Lance smiles a little, softly, sweetly, and then lifts his hand to Keith’s jaw, his fingertips light, smiling up at Keith through his dark lashes. “Are you okay enough for this?” he asks.
Keith considers the question. “How am I supposed to know?”
"When you can say, “yes,” with great confidence, and mean it," Lance says, smiling, his eyes crinkling warmly.
“I don’t get it,” Keith says, softly, glancing at the blue crescents on Lance’s cheeks, "I don’t get how you’re so fine. You always seemed so fine.”
Lance searches Keith’s eyes for a moment. “I wasn’t. You just didn’t see that part.”

Summary
Lance is quiet when he sneaks into the kitchen, pausing at the doorway to watch Keith as he fills two plates with eggs and toast and something else that he doesn’t bother to see.
Something cozy fills the space when Keith turns and smiles, the gesture flooding slowly onto his features when he looks at Lance. “Morning,” he murmurs, though he stays across from Lance, with his long hair tied in a half-hearted knot at his neck and his eyes gone warm.
Because the stupid thing is, even all these years later, Lance’s lips still burn and he wants to reach up to touch them, just to see that they haven’t seared clean off his face when he thinks of that one blazing moment in that quiet hangar when he could’ve—should’ve—stopped Keith.
He says, splitting the quiet in two and ripping something fierce between them, "there’s always a home for you there. On the castle.”

Keith lives a pretty standard life.
He's got a boring office job, coworkers with conventional names, and a monotonous 9 to 5 work week. He's beyond hoping that anything interesting will happen to him. That just isn't the way the world works.
At least, it isn't the way his world works. A chance diversion to his routine leads Keith down a path he is destined to follow, one that leads him to impossible truths and enduring love.

Summary
After running out of suppressants Lance turns to an Altean medicine cabinet to try and quell his true secondary gender as an Omega. However nothing is ever as simple as it may seem and Lance ends up sick as a result of the medicine he should not have been taking. After being essentially outed as an omega Lance and the team must learn to work around the new dynamic aboard the castle ship.
Meanwhile Keith just wants to prove that he can be the Alpha Lance deserves.

Lance's family is gone and he's stuck with Haggar, Lotor, Kuro for family. He has to do all the chores, and he's so sheltered the only person he really knows outside his step family is Hunk. One day he's tending to his garden when someone rides in on horseback. A horse they can't control. Low and behold it's Keith, who tries to talk to Lance and get to know him since Lance is the only person he's ever met who doesn't know him as a prince, but Lance is so caught up in the destroyed garden and the punishment he'll get if he doesn't fix it.

“You’d think they’d stop sending us on away missions,” he agreed. Honestly, between the poisonous plants of their last planet, and Lance’s tendency to always end up on the business end of every blaster or pointy ended stick, Allura was just being inefficient at this point.
Or, five times Keith kissed Lance but the situation was less than ideal, and one time Lance finally kissed him back.
