Summary
They were born sixteen days apart, on the same street, in the same year.
In the late autumn of 1997, Sophie and Jos Verstappen welcomed a healthy baby boy and named him Max. Just over two weeks later, across the road, the Leclerc family celebrated the arrival of their second son, Charles.
No one could have known it then—not even their parents—but something had already begun to take shape. A rhythm. A pairing. A kind of quiet gravity that would pull them together for the rest of their lives.

Summary
“Charles Leclerc, in the presence of our family and loved ones, will you do me the honor of being mine—to keep and to protect?”
Charles stared at him, horrified. He looked like he was about to throttle Max on the spot.
Max only smiled.
Charles took a step forward to hiss at him to get the hell up—but Max’s gestured behind them. “Everyone’s watching, baby.”
Charles looked between their audience and Max. There they were: his immediate family. Max’s entire family. Some smiling. Some looking outright horrified.
This bastard.

Summary
“Where do you want to go?” he asks. He still feels so confused, even though he’ll do whatever Charles needs. “Your mother’s?”
Charles tenses up immediately. “No, no, no, we have to leave Monaco.”
Leave Monaco?
Of course Max will do as he says, because he can’t bear for his omega to have such a stricken expression, but why on Earth do they need to leave Monaco?
“We have to go somewhere secret,” Charles says, very seriously, which really doesn’t clear anything up for Max at all. “Somewhere nobody knows where we are.”
Or: Charles is pregnant. Neither he nor Max know. His instincts get a little messed up.
