Summary
He drifts up from unconsciousness slowly.
There's something dripping down the side of his face: blood, he thinks; hopes, mostly, that that’s all it is. The taste of it is heavy on his tongue, the undersides of his teeth, his lips. Most of it isn't his own, but everything hurts. He doesn't think about the worst of it, the sharp ache between his legs; tries, instead, to figure out his surroundings through eyelids gummed shut with blood and a head still viciously pounding where they'd hit him more than once. He's face down on an uneven surface with his arm cuffed to his right ankle, his hips tilted up and his legs held apart by some kind of bar cuffed to his ankles. Naked, but that isn't unusual. They haven't let him wear clothes in months.
"So, Sergeant Barnes," a heavily accented voice says from somewhere above him, piercing through his sluggish thoughts, "We meet again."

Based on a Hydra Trash Party prompt: Due to many decades of abuse, being penetrated hurts for Bucky. So when he's back with (preferably) Steve, he does want to initiate a full sexual relationship. Steve tends top, and Bucky wants to please him and pretend everything is fine.
There was something broken inside him, that much was abundantly clear. And all of Steve’s lube and his hesitant fingers? Well, that just prolonged the feeling that all his nerves were on fire, that he was burning from the inside out.

A man wearing a light denim jacket over a dark blue shirt came into the shop, a box tucked under his right arm. Despite it being late afternoon, he was wearing sunglasses with bright blue lenses, and his long, dark hair was pulled back in a messy little bun. A few strands had escaped, framing his strong, unshaven jawline. The man looked into the café, smiled widely, and waved in Clint’s direction as he kept walking into the bookstore, and Steve’s mouth went completely dry.
Beautiful, was the only word to describe that smile; straight, white teeth framed by full, lush, red lips, bracketed by laugh lines and an adorable dimple in his right cheek, a charming little chin cleft just visible under the light stubble—Steve was struck literally speechless. And that was before he got a glimpse of the man’s backside. Slim hips and a round, firm-looking ass led to long, lean legs that were encased in snug, dark blue jeans.
“Guh,” Steve said, watching the dark-haired man continue on to the back of the store.
