Summary
A series of moments between Vash and Wolfwood that take place in my Trigun Vampire AU, in between the chapters of my big main fic, Blood in the Badlands. I really recommend you read that one first if you haven't already or you'll be missing context for some things!
I plan on adding more chapters here with different moments as inspiration strikes. Each chapter will be an independently functioning oneshot, and I'll add where it fits into the timeline of the main piece in the individual notes.

It’s been a hell of a week. It’s always a hell of a week with Vash the Stampede, because if he’s not getting himself shot, then he’s getting Wolfwood shot, or held hostage, or fucking eaten alive. Or anyway that’s the excuse Wolfwood’s going to have to use for—honestly, all of it. Except for the parts of it that are just Vash, all on his own.
Wolfwood and Vash accidentally go skinny dipping.

Wolfwood looked back, staring at where their hands met, eyes barely widening, but expression otherwise unreadable. Vash couldn’t say it, couldn’t bring himself to ask, the selfishness of it stung like bile in his throat. He couldn’t bear to let go, either. Any attempt at words just echoed through the chasm inside him, bouncing back on themselves until it was white noise, pointless and empty and lost. He swallowed. It was late. They were both exhausted, and he was keeping Wolfwood here in the cold.
“…please.”

Vash won’t take for himself. Not when he can make do without. Not when everyone else is struggling so much already. He’s had a century and a half to practice his restraint over his selfish need, and at this point he’s fairly confident he could hold his self-control to the point of death if he had to.
