That modern AU where Megumi and Naoya despite their blood relation and age difference start dating because Megumi looks like his father Toji who Naoya's been pining after for years, and well Megumi's gay and tired of girls asking him to be their boyfriend so he wants to be taken and it turns out that Naoya doesn't have it in him to deny him anything.
And then maybe what hadn’t seemed like it could be love turns out to have been love all along, and maybe they’d both needed something just like this.
Maybe Naoya had needed to be desired, and Megumi had needed to be needed, and maybe they could only ever have received those things from someone who had also been abandoned by Toji, the beloved cousin and disparaged father who had left them both alone in the world without explanation.
They might both just have the pieces that the other was missing.
Megumi’s the one who resembles the ghost, but Naoya’s the one who lives as its haunting.

Heat rushes to Mai’s face. It’s so stupid, but she suddenly can’t stop thinking about the last time she saw Takada—at the meet and greet, when she took Mai’s hand in hers and offered her a soft smile that she didn’t grant to any of the other fans in line before Mai. The way her face lit up when she saw Mai, like she was the eye of the hurricane, like she was the brief moment of sunshine in the midst of a storm.
Of course Mai remembers her—she would even without all of Todo’s obsessing. Something like that is hard to forget.
mai runs into takada-chan again, after everything is over
