Eddy, a very normal young man with a functioning moral compass, would follow Velvet to the ends of the earth after they were separated for 3 years due to Velvet's whole 'I ate a guy and had to go on the run' issue. He just wants his friend back (and maybe a kiss would be nice).
Amy, a former cultist, gets dragged into their dysfunctional relationship and grows reluctantly fond of these disastrous strays. She's got the same 'my hormones make me eat people' issue and is determined to find a cure and bring down the cult she escaped from.

“You like this, Hollander?” he asks. His tone and expression are frustratingly neutral. When Shane doesn’t answer, Rozanov tightens his hold on Shane’s wrist and raises an eyebrow. When Shane flexes his hands, and Rozanov immediately increases the pressure, he can barely bite back a groan.
“Clearly, Rozanov,” he finally replies. “C’mon.”
“Really? This is all it takes?” Rozanov tenses his fingers.
“Actually, I - maybe you could -,” Shane stammers, trying to get the question past his lips. He looks down at his chest to where his tie lies, then deliberately looks back at Rozanov again. “What if we use my tie instead?”
Shane has a sudden realization and makes a suggestion. Ilya enthusiastically agrees.
