SPOILERS for Season 4 ep 9 of Dr. Stone!
Gunshot wounds are dangerous. Gunshot wounds to the chest are downright lethal. The thorax is packed with vital structures, heart, lungs, and more blood vessels than anyone wants to count. So when Senku takes a bullet, he does the math. Odds of survival? Not good. Depressingly low actually, especially with the amount of blood he’s choking on.
But science isn’t about taking the easy way out. And Senku has never been a quitter.
OR
I completely redo everything medical wise that happens after Senku gets shot, because if Dr. Stone prides itself on science, then gunshot wounds deserve the same treatment.

Summary
It was strange. Senku didn’t run by feelings. He ran by facts and numbers and logic. But maybe it would rain tomorrow, and Senku didn’t need a gauge or a radar to make his guess. Some storms came by surprise, and like moments of vulnerability, all they needed was time to gather before there was a downpour.

Caring about someone like this - the hard way, the way that makes you lose sleep and the ability to do so much as take a shit in peace - is new to him, and a complete pain in the ass. But the second the initial shock of Makima's offer to take him on a trip with her wore off, he knew he had to buckle down and say no. He knew he had to stay. And feeling Power shiver against him in the dark, he knows he'd choose this every time. He wouldn't think twice. This is the first time in a long time that he's had people to lose.
