“What?”
Shane’s smile fades away. His voice is stern, final when he answers. “Get back to your team, and step the fuck away from my husband?”
He doesn't bother to mince his words. Not tonight, with Ilya being as exhausted as he is, and not with Ilya being uncomfortable. He rarely gets to see him this outwardly protective. He expected Shane to come over, grab his hand and lead him away from the booth with some random excuse. But this—this is Shane losing his patience for all of those manners. His only concern is Ilya.

Steer his charge clear of such horrible, terrible ideas as asking their “straight” RA to teach them how to kiss behind their boyfriend's back. Say no, malysh, you really don't need to worry about this, your first kiss should be with someone you love and trust and really want to kiss.
“Okay,” he said, instead, and thought that at least he wasn't going to be sent back to Russia.

“Specialist?” Ilya asked, his tone wary. The word sounded uncomfortable in his mouth, so Shane tried to fill in the gaps.
“A doctor. For omegas.”
That threw Rozanov off for a second. “But you are not omega?”
Shane scrunched up his face, creasing the skin on his forehead and around his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he dropped the first of his two bombs. “No, Rozanov. I am. I’m an omega.”
He heard the Russian hum on the other side, considering this. “Makes sense. Is why you are so pretty. And why you have such nice ass.”
Shane’s ears burned. “Shut up, stop talking about my ass.”
“But I can still talk about how pretty you are, yes?”

Summary
Central City, California is beautiful, but it’s not where Johnny wants to be – and he’s not who he wants to be, either. In the wake of Gwen’s death, Peter has finally put the mask back on, but nothing’s the same as it once was, and the thrill has gone out of Spider-Man. The Fantastic Four’s arrival only makes everything worse. The Human Torch is good looking, he’ll give him that much, but Peter has no plans of making friends. A series of strange attacks and a fateful encounter on the docks may not leave him much choice.
