Summary
Dean Winchester is a star-studded rookie pitcher whose father was shrouded in fame and scandal. Castiel Novak is well into his catching career and runs his ship with precision and authority. Novak is forced to wrangle with Dean’s ego all while molding him into the best pitcher the world has ever seen. Dean has to battle with his past, his own name, and attempting not to acknowledge his very gay feelings for his teammate. To be fair, Cas doesn’t do a very good job at hiding them either.

Summary
Joaquín finds his first recruit for Sam's renewed Avengers: Xu Shangqi. Turns out he did so just in time before things get interesting (as in, alien imposters replacing important people kind of interesting). In the moments before, during, and after this mission to save the world, Joaquín and Shangqi find themselves getting closer to each other than either was prepared for.
Here is the loaf of bread from which all of those Shangquin crumbs in Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing came from. This story takes place throughout the events of that first fic, so I highly recommend you read that before this one!

Summary
Dean Winchester knows two things about hockey, two things his dad made sure he knew. One, hockey is a guy’s sport, and two, hockey is family. Hockey meant Sam and Bobby and Benny and Victor and Gabriel and hell, his entire team. So when Victor gets traded, Russian-star-turned-new-teammate Castiel Krushnic becomes a threat. As much as Dean hates him for that, the longer he sticks around, the more he begins to threaten that first rule too. Dean’s been taught his whole life that those who play hockey should not be captivated by deep accented voices and the way a guy handles his stick, so how the hell is he supposed to justify what he’s starting to think about Cas? All Dean wanted at the beginning of the season was to win, and now all he wants to do is figure out how he feels about Cas and how to deal with it without ruining his career and tearing his family apart.
