Liliana, eyes illuminated, crimson marks glowing, and skin a deep red hue, flung Imogen against the nearest chunk of debris with such force the air evaporated from her lungs and several ribs cracked.
“YOU KNEW,” Liliana growled.....
After the explosion in the Woven Music Grand Hall, Liliana Temult is out for blood, and Imogen is the target of her fury. A battle between mother and daughter breaks out in the midst of a crumbling Kreviris. Imogen realizes she must either kill her mother or be killed by her. Laudna’s dying breath. Imogen…

Imogen rushed forward, but Otohan moved with supernatural speed. The scene before her moved in slow motion, Ishta primed for Laudna’s chest in imagery which evoked the past.
“NO!” Imogen roared, shooting through the air. “LAUDNA!”...
