Summary
Cal’s gloves are ripped to shreds, from dragging himself through the ship or his fight with Trilla, it doesn’t matter, but he can feel Cere dying in his arms, her shock and pain writing themselves into the fabric of her clothes, the very air around her, and Cal feels torturously doubled, his own death fast approaching. Darth Vader is a cataclysmic event, and Cal, delirious with pain, scrambles to catch the hilt of his saber as he begins to drag it out their corpses – and that’s what he and Cere are, corpses, with only a last few seconds of misfiring neurons left in them, no matter how much BD-1 trills and punches stim after stim into his arm – they are tipping past that point of no return now, and Cal needs to do something right now before it’s too late for – for what?
Too late for what?

Summary
“Great, you’re in,” the Jedi says. “Welcome to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Mrs. Lars. Your quarters and uniform will be assigned to you shortly. Padawan Skeft will be here to escort you, please wait on the other side of this door.”
Shmi stands and nearly tumbles over herself.
“That’s it?” She asks, straightening her dress and bag.
The Jedi sniffs.
“That’s it,” they says. “You can—“
“I thought it would be more difficult to persuade you,” Shmi says.
“Ma’am,” the Jedi sighs, “We are an equal opportunity employer. Through the door, please.”(Shmi Skywalker is assaulted by too-real visions of her grandson in pain in the future. She gets a job at the Jedi Temple in order to prevent that from happening and soon after finds herself on a warship.)

Summary
“They’re… chaos,” Remus said firmly. “And chaos is—”
“Rock and roll.”
He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
(genuinely not apologising for the slow-burn in this fic anymore. You've been warned <3)

Bookmarker's Notes
Spent half a year reading this monster of a fic, I don't regret a single bit of it. The marauders' fandom has always been a grey area for me; most of its lore is pulled from thin air, but this has really solidified the fandom as something really great. The characters are written and fleshed out in a way I can't even comprehend. Despite all of this being from one singular perspective, I really felt that it was possible to understand every single character (if that makes any sense.)
The Marauders fandom has been a constant in my life for almost 12 years at this point, which feels insane to say, but considering that I came into this fandom through youtube texting stories in 2014, youtube photo stories in 2015, and "marauder's as vines" videos in 2016, and maybe i should get an actual life but it's been insane. Like truly, it's weird how this is always going to be apart of my brain. This fic feels like something I would've dreamt up years ago, and for it to be written and created by someone else in this kind of depth and sincerity and actual passion, I feel so grateful to have been able to read it in the way I have. I duly hope to see the story continued, and if not, then I am perfectly content with the ending that's already been written.
