Summary
Because, that was all he had been waiting to hear, wasn’t it? He was lovable, he was wanted, perhaps even needed. Perhaps he had a place in the world and he wouldn’t have to feel like a dead weight and a waste of space anytime he silently put a bottle of wine in the fridge for Akito’s new lover or gave him his opinion on the person he was currently seeing or every time emotions bubbled up in his soul and he thought of them as illegitimate, unjustified, inexcusable.
After all, Akito was a master connoisseur of love, much more partial to the taste of stolen kisses than the acrid taste of bloodied wine on his delectable lips, who better than him could judge what was worth of being cared for and what not? And Touya longed, he wanted to scream with the overpowering yearning for his love stained lips on his own dry and starved ones, their ridicule distance making his head spin faster and faster and faster, Akito is not yours.
Or,
during the party for a friend's engagement, Akito drinks a little too much: and what kind of friend would Touya be if he didn't take care of him?
