Obi-Wan does not like, or trust, or condone the cult he and Master Qui-Gon have to deal with in this territory dispute. Their philosophies are wrong, and dangerous, and personally offensive. He doesn't get, and doesn't like, and is all around fed up with how Qui-Gon seems to not only like, but also respect these terrible and incorrect people.

Iwai's part-timer is beautiful, and dangerous, and absolutely off-limits for so many different reasons. And Iwai's good about it, dammit. Hands off. Don't touch. He can want all he likes - and god, does he want - but as long as he keeps it to himself nobody gets hurt. Not even himself.
That plan goes out the window when one of Kurusu's friends comes in to confront Iwai about hooking up with Kurusu. He wouldn't mind all that much except for the tiny little detail that he's not. Doing. That. But if somebody else is, well... that's just gonna be the start of his problems.

Akira, leaning back against the counter, looked up at him. If Iwai was trying to intimidate him, it wasn’t working.
“I know what I want,” Akira said, pushing up from the counter enough to press his chest against Iwai’s. “I’d regret it more if we didn’t.”
“Kid,” his voice was stern and deathly serious, “I’m warning you.”But that wasn’t a no. Akira smiled, pushed onto his tiptoes, and pressed a kiss to Iwai’s jaw. They were so close that he could feel Iwai tense. The hand on his throat was instant - not forceful, but there to push Akira back firmly.
“I need you to be certain,” Iwai started to relent, “and I need to say that we shouldn’t do this.”
“I’m certain.” Akira tipped his head up, leaning forwards to press into Iwai’s hand. To prove that he wasn’t threatened. “I want it anyway.”Series
